DONAGHADEE’s Community Choir is in tune with the town’s lifeboat causes.
The singers presented cheques for £100 to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Sir Samuel Kelly Project which plans to restore the historic Sir Samuel Kelly lifeboat.
The presentation was made in the town’s First Presbyterian Church to Evelyn Bennett, chair of Donaghadee RNLI’s fundraising team and Joan Smith, vice-chair of the SSK Project. The choir was represented by Glenn Buchanan, musical director, and Norma Patterson.
A lunch, which celebrates 40 years of RNLI fundraing in the town, will be held in the Moat Bar on Tuesday November 10.
