On one of his recent trips back home, Rory McILroy signed a Ryder Cup golf shirt in aid of Donaghadee RNLI. Mary Miller, a keen golfer and lifeboat fundraiser, got Rory to sign the shirt on one of his trips home and also got Michael Bannon, Rory’s coach, to provide a letter of authenticity.
In conjunction with Nevada Bob’s of Bangor she had the shirt framed and sold raffle tickets and raised £330.The lucky winner was Paul Melville from Donaghadee. Paul said he was a better snooker player than a golfer but was delighted with the shirt and the opportunity of supporting his local lifeboat.
